A Miracle Performace

Soul Visionary Productions had a request to perform two pieces for the Fletcher's Meadow's Christmas Production. Unfortunately at this time of the year it was busy for everyone. However, we are a team who is always willing to help so we agreed to be apart of the production.
The month of December went by really fast as we were involved in so many events, projects and performances. The day before the Christmas production we were startled because we forgot that we did not have a solid performance. To make matters a lot more difficult, Mrs. Thomas was unavailable on the only day that we rehearsed the scene. We had to create a completely new scene so it could fit the theme of the production. It was definitely difficult trying to create a new scene within three hours with no teacher. By the end of the day we had a scene but we were not comfortable about it. Nevertheless, Soul Visionary Productions kept our word and we did not drop out of the Christmas production.
On the day of the Christmas Production we felt like our scenes were going to be a bust. Not only did we have to perform our new scene but we also had to perform the beauty salon scene. There was a lot of kayos as we had to replace a few characters because the original actors were not available. Literally 10 min before our piece was announced we started switching characters and re-teaching the scene the new girls. It felt like it was going to be a complete disaster.
In the end everything came together better than we expected. Even though there were a lot of problems: ex. music, cues, lines, etc. We are proud to know that we worked together and was able to create two scene within two days.


It took each and everyone of us to create this christmas miracle performace.
